LOWDER NEW HOMES has been building new homes in the River Region for more than 50 years, and in those years we’ve learned what really lasts and makes the difference. We have spent decades using quality products from leaders in the industry to earn the right to be the highest standard of measure.
WE INVITE YOU TO COMPARE OUR HOMES.
TALK TO OUR CUSTOMERS.
SEE WHY A LOWDER NEW HOME MEASURES UP TO THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF QUALITY.
You have many choices in who builds your home, and you should have that many choices for the colors, styles and quality products that go in it. Just like we respect your choices, we respect changes that you might want to make to our plans that reflect your lifestyle.
Our success has come from being true to the vision of our founder, Ed Lowder, who believed in building quality homes and neighborhoods people could be proud to call home. We remain steadfast in that vision and to our commitment to build your next home as one of quality, beauty, comfort and lasting value.
LOWDER NEW HOMES corners and trim are built with what is recognized as the industry’s leader, JamesHardie® siding, which contains no fly ash as a filler. We also use Hardie siding because it has climate-specific substrate and primer and 30-year warranty. That means you will never worry about rot in the South’s hot and humid climate. Other builders often use treated pine that will rot with time and moisture.
Your home is covered by Lowder’s warranty, and we want to make sure our quality homes are covered with quality roofing. That’s why we use CertainTeed®, one of the nation’s leading brands.
You shouldn’t be limited in your color choices or have to settle for inexpensive builder-grade paint to make your new home beautiful. So we use Glidden® Professional Paint to give you unlimited color choices and years of easy care with some of the industry’s highest-rated performances in durability and washability.
We use Mohawk® carpeting, with a minimum of 25-ounce face weight and lots of colors and styles to choose from. We also use a quality pad that’s a minimum of six pounds, not a cheaper four-pound pad used by some builders.
Our Mohawk® wood flooring is more durable than many brands. Its five-ply construction vs. some three-ply choices offered by other builders will stand up longer and can be refinished more often. It also comes with a Scotchgard® finish, a 25-year warranty, and it’s LEED point qualified.
When you pick out your cabinets not only will you have lots of styles and colors to choose from, but you will have quality cabinets that are solid wood construction and do not have particleboard sides. Our cabinets have attractive pulls/knobs as a standard feature, not an upgrade.
Interior architectural features such as how we trim out our windows also set us apart. We believe in quality construction and appearance so we use a full wood wrap that includes wood casing, wood sub-jam and wood stool in lieu of sheetrock.
For quality and stylish plumbing fixtures that are known as some of the industry’s best, we use Delta®, which offers an unbeatable warranty with its Diamond Seal Technology.
Lowder New Homes believes your new home should come with quality appliances too. We do not use builder-grade appliances. Instead we choose to include quality GE® appliances that are Energy Star® rated and dependable.
Is your new home wired for your safety and how you live? We don’t just offer phone and cable outlets. Our new homes come with a Full Structured Prewired Package for phone, video, sound and security.
ENERGY EFFICIENT
LOWDER NEW HOMES has made green initiatives and energy efficiency standard in all our homes. We go above and beyond standard building codes to conserve energy, improve performance and save our homeowners money on utility bills.
What makes a home energy efficient, and how does Lowder measure up?
EFFECTIVE INSULATION SYSTEMS
Insulation systems are rated by their R-value. The higher the R-value, the more energy they conserve. Strong R-values produce even temperatures throughout the house, lower utility bills and a quieter home environment.
Lowder New Homes feature Energy Star® energy-efficient, high-density exterior wall insulation with an R-value of 15 or better, exceeding standard building code. We use loose-fill fiberglass attic insulation blown to a thickness of 16” to achieve an R-value of 38, which is also well above code. Fiberglass insulation has superior qualities to other insulating systems such as spray foam.
EFFICIENT HEATING & COOLING EQUIPMENT
Current building codes allow for your heating and cooling system to have a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating of 13. Our standard is an Energy Star® qualified system with a SEER rating of 15. In addition to using less energy to operate, it’s quieter, better reduces indoor humidity and improves the overall comfort of your home.
HIGH PERFORMANCE “LOW E” WINDOWS
Windows are more than pretty features for your home. They keep heat out in the summer and cold at bay in the winter. Quality Energy Star® windows do not allow ultraviolet light from the sun to come through and discolor carpets and furnishings. That’s why we use energy-efficient, high-performance “Low E” windows in every home we build.
EFFICIENT APPLIANCES & SAFE PRODUCTS
We do not use builder-grade appliances. Instead we choose to include quality GE® appliances that are Energy Star® qualified and dependable.
