New Park in East Montgomery will soon feature innovative new homes designed by Alabama’s premier homebuilders, Lowder New Homes.
Lowder New Homes will begin building 55 new ‘Thoughtful Houses’ at Bristol Park Place located in New Park, a residential planned unit development by Jim Wilson & Associates in East Montgomery, Alabama. The venture marks a new relationship between two long-respected developers who have shaped the residential landscape of the River Region and beyond over the last six decades.

New Park was started in 2008 with a master plan of 1,160 acres and a projected 2,700 homes.

Lowder New Homes will introduce new floor plans and designs that represent a “new generation of homes” to the New Park portfolio of plans developed by internationally recognized residential architectural firm BSB Design. Known for their innovative floor plans that capture the changing trends in living styles, BSB has designed floor plans and homes for Lowder New Homes in New Park that will appeal to the lives of today’s homeowners.
What are ‘Thoughtful Houses’?
Dan Swift, president of BSB Design, and Senior Partner Stephen Moore built a process to design for what the firm calls a ‘Thoughtful House.’ Swift explains, “We have taken a fresh look at both existing designs and living style trends to develop plans that have spaces that are easy, relaxing and rejuvenating while being accessible, flexible and convenient to those that live in the home.”
“Our new floor plans and elevations in New Park will reflect the ‘Thoughtful House’ concept,” Rutland explains, “with features like a private owner’s entrance, laundry rooms accessible from multiple entry points, chef inspired kitchen-centric plans, flexible spaces, deeper and bigger garages and the always needed additional storage spaces.”
Rutland says the exterior of the homes “will vary in style from the traditional to craftsman to modern farmhouse.” Some of the exterior architectural elements will include board and batten, stone, cedar shake, prairie grid style windows, metal roofs, and front porches.
Floor plans for these ‘Thoughtful Houses’ will be available for homebuyers to view at the Lowder Parade home (9230 Sheraton Park Way) in New Park during the Greater Montgomery Home Builders Association 2017 Parade of Homes on the weekend of July 15th and 16th and at the New Park Sales and Information Office (9430 Park Crossing). Construction of these new plans will begin this month with move-in dates in the Fall.
